THE new Air Niugini sales office at the Datec Complex, along the Poreporena Freeway, among other things, features more counters to cater for the growing number of customers travelling on the national carrier.
Air Niugini chief executive officer Wasantha Kumarasiri, at the official opening, said the necessity to relocate from Central Waigani, next to Stop N Shop, was the result of the landlord of the site needing the place back.
He said the new location was more suitable as it was centrally located with ample parking space for their customers.
Kumarasiri said the new sales office had 16 domestic counters and eight international counters in the retail section.
The corporate sales office saw an increase in the number of desks to cater for the increasing number of corporate clients, group travel, VIP and government travel and a separate office called  Galileo is a national distribution centre servicing Air Niugini’s agent.
Kumarasiri said each section contained the latest in high-tech computer equipment to suit the stylish architecture and give each room an elegant feel.
He said Air Niugini endeavoured to provide the highest level of customer service to all customers, with 45 staff members who were privileged to make travel arrangements in a better sales office environment.
