PASSENGERS travelling with Air Niugini can now expect more convenience when buying tickets after the opening of a new sales office.
The new sales office at the Jacksons airport terminal area will be more convenient as it will bring ticket sales for both domestic and international travellers under one roof.
Air Niugini’s deputy board chairman Sir Fredrick Reiher said the new plaza office was part of the airline company’s ongoing commitment to provide better service.
Sir Fredrick said the increasing number of passengers flying with the airline would require more facilities to make travel products accessible.
He said having both domestic and international offices in one building was a “one-stop-shop thing” that would ensure convenience for their customers, improve customer service, and cut down on time spent on queues.
Apart from customer care, Sir Fredrick said the new office also meant that staff would be in a better working environment.
The new plaza sales office complements what Air Niugini is doing in terms of service to its customers.
Other initiative that it has done recently include the introduction of the new Boeing 737-700 series to its fleet of aircraft the addition of a new Dash 8-200 a couple of weeks back and the new air port check-in system – the Mercator Airport Control System (MACS).
This is all part of Air Niugini’s effort to give better service to customers.
The  airline will boost its services when several new aircraft are delivered this year.
“The airline is anticipating additional seven aircraft this year, which means five more are to be acquired before the end of the year,” Sir Fredrick said.
