I SUPPORT Belden Na-mah’s comments about the 2012 Queen’s birthday honours awards.
Bestowing awards to business people is meaningless when their primary object is to make profits, not give to charity.
It would make the award more meaningful if it is bestowed on people who gave their time, sweat and even lives without reaping rewards or profits for their efforts.
People such as the late Pastor Joseph Kingal de-served to be recognised and honoured for the passion he had in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Let us hope that there is no foul play involved in the nominations and awarding process.
Or else, PNG will be filled with knights.
This once noble award is losing its value and meaning.
