MEMBERS of a church in Porebada on the outskirts of Port Moresby last Saturday began a fundraising to build a pastor’s house.

Parishioners, friends and families of the United church, East Redscar Circuit in Porebada, aim to raise K20,000.

The house to be called the Evanelia Rumana will be home to the pastor responsible for coordinating the East Redscar circuit

Evanelia.

The house will be built at the East Redscar mission station in Porebada village.

Chairman of evangelism ministry at the church Vaburi Morea said they had raised K3,000 from various fundraising activities such as food sales.

Morea said they had two other main fundraising activities planned – shirt sales and contributions in cash or kind from people.

Church pastor Rev Patrick Gau said they really wanted to build the pastor’s house.

“I appeal to all kind-hearted Christians to help us,” Gau said.

Anyone interested in donating money towards the building of the pastor’s house can make a deposit into Account number 38690975 Bank South Pacific (Town).
