Rally brings youths together

Faith

More than a thousand Catholic youths from six parishes on Manus took part in a youth rally held from July 1 to 8 in Tilianu Queen on Rapatona Island.
The rally was open by Governor Charlie Benjamin and attended by police Commander Robin Yapu.
Benjamin congratulated the Catholic Church for its contributions to the Christian faith in the province as well as the country and in empowering youths to be serious in what they have learnt.
The purpose of the rally was to bring youths together in strengthening their faith through debate, quiz and sharing Christian believes so they could impart it to others in their communities.
The six parishes who took part contributed K5000 each.
The parishes are Lorengau, Bipi, Bundrelise, Patu, Kambos, and Papitalai.
Papitalai Parish Priest Fr Cleman Taulam thanked companies who contributed in cash and kind.
