Ramu NiCo owners meet

 STAKEHOLDERS of the Ramu NiCo project in Madang had their first meeting recently for this year after the signing of the revised memorandum of agreement (MoA) last December.

The National Court-ordered review meeting was also to update the landowners and stakeholders on the project progress with particular emphasis and update on the management of environment, especially the impact of deep sea tailing placement (DSTP) currently in use at Ramu NiCo’s Basamuk Refinery.

It was attended by landowners led by four group chairmen Mathew Dengua from Kurumbukari, Lima Mulung from Basamuk, Steven Saud from Coastal Pipeline and Peter Tai from Maigari.
