A SUSPECT wanted in connection with a rape case in Alotau is still at large.
Police have identified the man only as Kari from Lealea, Central. The woman is from Rabe village, Alotau.
Southern Region police commander Allan Kundi said the woman was abducted as she was on her way to a friend’s house after a party.
“The victim was forced into his bedroom where she was repeatedly raped,” Kundi said.
“Her ordeal ensued until daybreak.”
She reported the matter to the police after she was released in the morning.
In a separate incident in Alotau, an 18-year-old girl was abducted and raped before police intervened.
Kundi said the girl was abducted at Middle Town, in Alotau, and taken to an undisclosed location.
