POLICE in Eastern Highlands are hunting for two men suspected of raping a female teacher at Henganofi Primary School.
Eastern Highlands police commander Supt Michael Welly said his officers were searching for the two whose identities were known to police and he was confident they would soon be arrested.
Supt Welly said on July 16, the two men under the influence of liquor entered the house of the teacher and assaulted her.
“Police responded to the incident but the suspects fled into their village,” he said.
Supt Welly said police had called on the suspects to surrender but they had not received any response and his men would find them and deal with them accordingly.
The school was also closed for four weeks for parents and community members to bring in the suspects.
Classes resumed on Monday.
Supt Welly said police investigation is still going on.
