Ravu asks Hunters fans to be patient

Rugby league administrator Solomon Ravu says fans of the Papua New Guinea Hunters should not have high expectations on the team who are undergoing a rebuilding process.
Ravu said this season would be tough for the Hunters, as they will experience a lot of challenges to get their combinations right.
“This is not an easy task as the Hunters have lost several of their key players to other Queensland Rugby League clubs and also to the United Kingdom,” he said,
“The coaching staff headed by Michael Marum and team management are trying their best to get the team fine-tuned but it’s tough.
With just two wins from nine games, Ravu said fans should not blame the team management or players for their poor performance.
“We won the grand final in 2017 and were unable to defend the title. It is a tough competition to win back-to-back titles,” he said.
“Our people shouldn’t ask too much of the Hunters as we are experiencing an excellent build-up, with the good number of talented players set for next season.”
