Read to improve English

WHAT has happened to the English language in Papua New Guinea?
I understand that it is a foreign language, but I don’t think this should be an excuse when we have enough reading materials around us.
We’re just too lazy to pick up a book and read or look up a word in the dictionary.
It is frustrating and time-consuming when you have to correct and edit people’s written work.
Some students in tertiary institutions don’t care about how they write.
They just jot down whatever comes first to mind.
If you can spend money on phone credits to go on Facebook, why not Google words, e-books and check out YouTube videos to understand English.
It’s not hard.
We’re just lazy.
