Real Ambane Mere clears his name
The National, Friday July 10th, 2015
I WISH to the letter “Do not reinstate doctors, nurses at Goroka hospital” (The National, July9).
As I understand, someone hiding behind the curtain and covering up for the Eastern Highlands Provincial Health Authority (EHPHA) management and suspended CEO used my name, Ambane Mere, without my authorization.
This is the name I normally use in Facebook and the social media.
The EHPHA and Goroka hospital issues are normally discussed in the Nokondi Talk Facebook page and that’s where this unknown person got my user name and intentionally used it against our loyal and dedicated doctors and nurses of Goroka hospital.
I am an educated and genuine person and understand that the issues raised by doctors and nurses over the years to the recent mass resignation are genuine.
I am not supporting anyone but I did not write a letter to support police minister’s call.
I am the real Ambane Mere and I have respect for doctors and nurses and would never drag their names and causes through the mud.
I would like to clear myself and apologise to our doctors and nurses at Goroka hospital.
Doctors and nurses are professional people and they know what they are fighting for because the problems have persisted over the years and nothing has been done resolve them.
Therefore, I would to clear my name and apologise to very concerned doctors and nurses of Goroka hospital and concerned Eastern Highlanders that this was letter from a fake person hiding behind the curtains.
Ambane Mere
