Real dad is Daure ‘Highway’ Lohia

 I REFER to your page 3 article in The National on Tuesday (Feb 10) entitled, “Young Motuans laid to rest at Badihagwa”.

In our Motu-Koita society, as also in other PNG communities, it’s normal for vabu Mary Daure to be regarded as my daughter since her own father Daure “Highway” Lohia is my cousin brother.

However,  your article failed to mention and acknowledge Daure so please kindly put the record straight for your loyal readers to know that Mary’s real dad is popular comedian and former PNG cricket all-rounder Daure Lohia. 

May our son in-law late Nicholas Rarua rest in eternal peace with our Heavenly Father.
