Realise Mendani’s development goals

Letters

I KNEW the late Kerema MP Richard Mendani well.
I did some research and recommend to the council of the People’s Action Party (PAP) to get him to run under the party.
Despite limited resources, he nearly won the seat in those early formidable years.
When I was voted out of office of the PAP, I was asked to assist in forming the Triumph Heritage Empowerment (T.H.E) Party. I once again recommended to the council of the T.H.E Party to select Mendani but he was not selected.
Despite that, he won the seat for Kerema Open.
He had several discussions with me to open up the road from Kerema town to Kaintiba and Kerema hinterlands and asked me for technical advice in telecommunications, television transmission, solar power and the use of green technology in development and in agriculture.
I hope and pray that many of his dreams for Kaintiba, Kerema hinterlands and Kerema be realised.
