THE CITY Pharmacy Rebels now have the Port Moresby Netball premier giants Sparrows to face in this Saturday’s clash at the Rita Flynn Netball Courts.
Sparrows, being dominated by top national representatives in the likes of Kilala Owen, Alurigo Opina-Aisi, Jacklyn Lahari, Naomi Leka and upcoming potential star Jephat Tulapi, have the advantage to run over their rivals this weekend.
However, that may not come easy for the Sparrows. Rebels’ continued form over the past weekends was a threat to Sparrows.
Last weekend they thrashed Global Construction Aroma Coast 63-33 and defeated top spot contenders Snax Mermaids the previous weekend by 13 points.
Lua Rikis, who’s making her comeback to the national side, would be the main enforcer for the CPL girls while sibling Winnie plays defence with young Daisey Ole.
They also have the experiences of Marinama Maha and Kila Rawali to lead a much younger and talented side who have contributed to their past wins.
Dominating the midcourt for the Rebels are Ceslie Rapilla at center while the Logona twins, Samina and Laura and Antoinette Kila work their way around Sparrows mid-courters Aisi, Lahari and Leka at wing attack and wing defence.
In other matches, Esco Telstars take on Veupunama, Monier Paramana takes on Global Construction Aroma Coast and Raukele face the Mermaids.
