Recognise Waigani station’s officers

WE appreciate the good work by committed police officers at Waigani Police Station in Port Moresby.
The station deserves the ‘station of excellence’ status and their officers need to be recognised by the higher police hierarchy.
Waigani is peaceful and violence-free and you can see that people feel safe to walk around Waigani compared to Boroko, Gerehu, 6-Mile and other suburbs where you have to constantly look over your shoulders. The Waigani police officers get along well with the residents of Waigani and Morata and one can see changes in these areas.
We appeal to the police hierarchy to recognise our good and hardworking officers.
We thank and appreciate the Government in partnership with Australia for recognising Waigani police station as a role model in terms of rehabilitation, renovation or even handling daily situations and work.
