Reduce cost

Letters

STUDENTS are vital human resource that we have and the future leaders of this country.
You are reading this because you were once a student or a student now.
My parents are just simple farmers in the Kelua community in Western Highlands and I found myself caught in various difficult situations and finical constrains since my primary grades to university.
With no income, my parents have strived thus far and I figured that it also applies to other parents around PNG regardless of their status.
They always come across finical difficulties but some parent pretend to protect their names. Some, however, are rich enough and flexible to be healthy in varies occasions.
The members in the parliament surely know what the point is.
On behalf my parents and those like, I would like to appeal to the government to reduce some of the student’s cost.
These cost include; bus fares to various schools (abolish students bus fear); provide enough school buses; allow free internet for students but restrict some stroke lightning and suspicious sites that are not health for the brains; and, other paramount activities in PNG.
These measures should be executed by the secondary, college and universities.
The students will be accessible to these services upon presenting their valid student identification number (ID card) for years attended respectively.
Executing these will at least relieve some of our parent’s burdens and provide a healthy environment for the students to be successful and be good leaders in the future.
This is to urge the government and also the education minister to take this in to consideration.
Let the students be the priority for a young developing country dreaming to be a wealthy black christen country.
