THE Covid-19 ensured that our towns and cities were very clean.
There were no ugly piles of betel nut husks and no red stains on foot paths and on the roads.
The sale and chewing of betel nut remains a part of PNG’s culture and a money earner for some folks.
Betel nut sellers should have a licence to trade at designated spots so they are accountable for the rubbish they create.
Chewing in public should be banned and spot fines imposed.
