Relatives close school after boy’s murder
POLICE have confirmed that relatives of a boy allegedly killed in a fight among students closed down a school in Port Moresby.
Gordon Police Station commander Insp Robert Wane said police had to stop a fight at the Evadahana Primary School.
“It is believed that the boy received serious injuries during the fight at the school at 9-Mile,” he said.
“He was rushed to the Port Moresby General Hospital but died. The boy’s relatives who reside at a settlement near the school then went to the school, chased everyone out of the school and locked the gates.”
Insp Wane said police went to the school to stop the fight.
