Electoral Commissioner Patalias Gamato has commended the Central provincial administration and its four open MPs for supporting the electoral roll updating.
Gamato said he was approached by district leaders who showed willingness to partner the Electoral Commission in its efforts to update the roll before next year’s general election.
“It is in the best interest of the country for the roll to be updated,” Gamato told the people of Rigo yesterday during the launch of the roll updating at Kwikila Station.
He thanked the Central administrator Gei Raga for his leadership in ensuring the pilot project was implemented.
The project is funded by the Australian government, Central and the Electoral Commission.
