WATER supply services in some parts of the National Capital District have been disrupted since Wednesday due to the relocation of a main water supply pipe, Eda Ranu says.
The areas affected include Gerehu, Rainbow, Port Moresby National High School, National Research Institute, East West Transport, Curtain Bros, Porebada, Roku, University of Papua New Guinea, Forth Banner, North Waigani, Telikom Village, Waigani Heights, Ensisi Valley, Tokarara, June Valley, Hohola, PNG Power Headquarter, Murray Barracks, Holiday Inn, Lamana, Vision City, City Hall, Stanley Hotel, Laguna Hotel and Games Village with low water pressure or no water supply at all.
“The disruption in water supply service is due to the relocation of an existing water main at Koura Way, Tokarara, to cater for the new road construction,” EdaRanu said.
“The delay was due to some complications beyond our control.
“We sincerely apologise for inconveniences caused by the delay in restoring water services after the relocation job.”
The water provider said on Wednesday water supply was expected to return to normal yesterday morning.
