Remove ban on plastics

Letters

PLASTIC bags are cheap and many city residents use it every day.
Banning of plastic bags is like depriving the rights of poor mothers who do not have bilums.
Plastic bags are given freely by the shops for people to carry their items safely home.
Many people in towns and cities do not have bilums and proper bags.
Small bilums and bags are for carrying wallets, phones, money and other belongings.
People can’t carry cargoes in small bilums and bags.
They should use plastic bags.
Environment Conservation and Climate Change minister Wera Mori said in a statement that we should be environmentally friendly.
Yes of course.
But plastic bags are not harmful as chemicals.
It cannot affect people or cause any sickness.
Plastic bags can be controlled.
The only way to control plastic waste is to put rubbish bins in residential areas so people can dispose the used plastic bags in it.
It’s not hard Mr Minister.
Use some good strategies to minimise rubbish caused by plastic bags.
Plastic is the easiest way and is the best bag for daily lives of people in the towns and cities.
Talk about other issues which are affecting the country.
Let people use plastic bags.
Do not ban plastic bags.
