Remove ban on teachers’ loans

Letters

THERE are currently instructions from the Education Department stopping teachers from acquiring personal loans from finance companies.
This has been effective since Oct 2018. It is now Jan 2019.
Many of us teachers are parents.
We need personal loans to pay for our children’s school fees.
Not all of us are eligible to acquire loans from Bank South Pacific (BSP). Remove the ban. It is simply killing us. Perhaps teachers should boycott going to classes based on these grounds.
If our children are denied an education over some misguided ruling, we should not educate other people’s children as well.
