Remove fruitless inquiries

Letters

MY Christmas and New Year’s message to the Government is to abolish the Commission of Inquiry process.
It is another long and time consuming investigation process; a waste of taxpayers’ money that can be utilised for other useful purpose.
It is powerless and has no teeth to arrest, prosecute or jail the wrong doers.
It is duplicating the process where the National Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate can accomplish within limited time with less costs.
All the past Commission of Inquiries since 1975 has not borne any good results with its files shelved away; and in reality it is costly and serves no purpose at all.
