National Pandemic Control Centre, reports 7,798 people recovered from the Covid-19 and 2,441 still active.

A TOTAL of 7,798 people have recovered from the coronavirus (Covid-19) as of Wednesday but 2,441 others are still active from infection.
Papua New Guinea (PNG) Covid-19 National Pandemic Response spokesman Chief Supt Dominic Kakas said in a media statement that the death toll remained at 91 with no deaths reported this week.
PNG’s Pandemic Controller and Police Commissioner David Manning has reminded those who had recovered to continue complying with the measures set in the new normal or Niupela Pasin.
“Continue to wear masks, practice safe social distancing of 1.5 metre in public places and practice clean hand hygiene by regularly washing or sanitising your hands,” he said.
Manning said recovering from the Covid-19 did not mean that the danger was over.
“The country’s Covid-19 cases have surged and public support is needed to contain this pandemic from spreading even further,” Manning said.
