Reprinting fee too high

Letters

THE K200 fee charged for reprinting NID card is not only ridiculous but absurd and it is a rip off.
Why are we forced to pay such a huge fee for reprinting NID?
A reasonable fee of K10 or K20 would suffice for this activity.
Not everyone goes overseas.
Papua New Guineans can still access other services with their driving licence, school ID, Nasfund ID, and work ID or Nambawan Super ID.
The whole NID programme is becoming a joke.
Many applicants are still waiting to collect their cards after applying two years ago.
Considering how long it takes to get one, and charging K200 to reprint one is just irrational.
Whoever authorised NID officers to charge K200 for reprint needs to clarify this fee to the public.
This fee needs to be reduced.
