Residence needs upgrade on road

Letters

THIS is an open letter to National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop and Moresby North West MP Sir Mekere Morauta for consideration.
Since your election to Parliament, you have been regularly uttering words of wisdom and knowledge.
What is the use of those utterances when the residents of Gerehu State 3B have for more than 10 years put up with animal tracks leading to their residences?
The streets are not passable due to the craters.
The area is occupied by taxpayers who’s right to easy travel through the streets and general welfare has been completely ignored for donkey years.
Can the two gentlemen have the courtesy of getting out of their comfort zones and inspect the Gerehu Stage 3B area to see and feel for themselves what your constituents experience daily.
Maybe the experience can translate into million ideas you both seem to be packed with.
Urgent upgrade to the roads in Gerehu Stage 3B is required.

Greatly affected Resident,
Gerehu Stage 3B

  • The same urgency is required in Morata One residential area where taxpayers are suffering from very bad road condition with no water supply. I wonder if there is anyone representing those tax payers living in Morata on the floor of the National Parliament which is less than 2km from the subject area that needs urgent attention. Sir Mekere, why are you betraying your own Morata?
