A CHANGE in management in Brian Bell will see greater international buying power from the retailer with the appointment of Sandy Aras as head of merchandising group category manager.
She will be replacing Brian Bell Group buying manager Graham Wheatley, who will be retiring next month after having been with the company for more than 20 years.
Brian Bell Group chief executive Cameron Mackellar commended Wheatley’s contribution to the company, saying it was tough to find a replacement.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Graham Wheatley over the past 18 months in my role as chief executive officer,” he said.
“He has been instrumental in the success of the Brian Bell Group with an amazing contribution of over 22 years to this company.
“While it is tough to replace any team member that has 22 years of history with our company, we have taken many months to find the right candidate for this role.
“I am very pleased to announce Sandy Aras as our new head of merchandising group category manager.”
“Sandy brings a wealth of energy and experience to this important role covering large brands in international buying roles like Target, Forty Winks, Spotlight and Choices Flooring. “In addition, her international buying connections are exceptional.
“Sandy will bring new energy, new experience and a new range of products and style to the Brian Bell Group. The big winners will be our shoppers, as Sandy leads the buying team to deliver great value products with the Brian Bell quality you have come to expect and trust.”
