THE head of the United church moderator Rev Bernard Siai took time off from his busy schedule to visit a small congregation at University of Papua New Guinea on June 30.
The congregation consists of about 20 students and an elder, besides the chaplain.
Most United church followers at UPNG opted to attend UC congregations outside the university.
School of Humanities senior lecturer Dr Goru Hane-Nou has remained to serve as an elder assisting the chaplain.
Siai said: “I was invited out on the same day by a larger village congregation on the outskirts of the city to officiate in a special programme they had.
“However, I had made a commitment to you students and I didn’t want to let you down.”
