Review of Mama Lo long overdue

I DO not support the O’Neill or Somare factions because I believe that they are fighting for their own good and not the welfare of the people.
This was evident in the tussle for power.
I believe the political impasse was caused by the lack of action by our lea­ders, the Constitutional Review Commission, and Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
They continuously ig­nored the calls to review the Constitution and up­date it in line with the country’s rapid growth and changes in time.
As a result, the O’Neill faction took advantage of the many loopholes in the Constitution.
The first thing the new government must do after the 2012 general election is to call for a thorough review of our Constitution and plug all the loopholes.
