Revival Centres opens new church in Goroka

Revival Centres of PNG has opened a new church at Mambu Market outside Goroka to allow its growing congregation to have a separate house of prayer.
Longtime church member Bige Kanut initiated the idea to build a new church with only K700.
“We have been travelling out to 7-Mile Church to have Sunday services,” he said.
“It’s is quite a distance from town and many times, it is risky travelling.”
Kanut said taking after years of taking risky travels, he and fellow Christians from nearby Kami Church, decided to build a new church.
“Today we have a new building and all glory and praises goes back to God,” he said.
Deputy regional pastor Ennis Kefu was the main celebrant at the opening of the church.
“Your time and effort here is not a waste,” he said.
“Through your sacrifice, the church building will be used to solve many problems facing the people in our community today.”
Kefu praised Kanut, his family and team of Christians for building the church.
Kanut, his family and church members celebrated the new church opening with a feast.
