Revival for POM Touch underway

 THE Port Moresby Touch Association Incorporated is back after a long break. 

Api Ravu, the last president has revived the competition after the executives disbanded in 2009.

Teams have already registered for the season proper on Sunday at the Nomads Oval opposite Port Moresby Country Club at 9am.

Divisions include the juniors (9-18 years), open, senior and masters.

Ravu said the senior and masters division was only for employees of registered company teams – Telikom, Eda Ranu, Dept of Labour and Industrial Relations, G4S, Works Dept and Ela Motors.

The current executives of the POM Touch Association are Ravu (president), Augustine Aitsi (vice-president)Margaret Kapa (secretary), Jerry Koivi (treasurer) and Tama Orea (junior vice-president). 

The tournament director is Joe Peregua and referees director is Roa Kila.
