I AM writing this in response to Governor William Powi’s outburst about agriculture (July 16).
In terms of agriculture in the Southern Highlands, there is very little to shout about.
The farmers are crying for services, good price control, revival of old, rundown plantations.
To date, there has not been any provincial government support to revive the agricultural sector, so what is this governor talking about in Parliament?
The governor should practice what he preaches.
Stop the nonsense about development and master plan for SHP.
Clean up your backyard first.
