RH Foundation has donated a bush oven to day-care facility Tembari Children Care (TCC).

The bush oven, which uses firewood, will help the centre bake bread as part of the meals it serves to the children from Monday to Saturday.

During last week’s presentation, Maya Tatel of RH Foundation said they were looking forward to making other donations in future apart from other assistance it gives to the Tembari children.

“RH Foundation’s donation is small, but it is significant in a way that it would have an impact on the children’s life in the years to come,” Tatel

said.

Baker Angel D Dar of BNG Trading was on hand to show a few baking techniques to the staff who are in charge of cooking the daily meals.

The centre is feeding close to 200 under-privileged children from ATS Oro Settlement at 7-Mile, outside Port Moresby.

It is providing basic education to the beneficiary children.

Tembari is relying on donors for funding to carry out its daily feeding activities.
