THE RH Foundation has so far this year given K81,336.92 worth of equipment to the children’s ward of the Port Moresby General Hospital.
The foundation, in a statement, said it had donated bedside lockers, food trolleys, wheelchairs, cabinets and ward trolleys.
It said the Rimbunan Hijau Foundation Inc, a charity of the RH group of companies, had
made several visitations and donations to the ward at the hospital this year.
It said the donation of hospital equipment was its community commitment through charity for the development of the social, economic, cultural and spiritual well-being of Papua New Guineans.
Last month, the foundation donated equipment worth K51308.92 to Ward 2E.
The foundation said the health of young children at the hospital was of enormous significance to the community and the country and it believed this gesture would have an impact on the lives of the children.
Nurse unit manager Sr Mokhe Saira thanked the foundation and RH on behalf of the two paediatric units and the hospital for the donations.
