RH Foundation’s kindness a blessing for children in hospital

EASTER will be made special for children at the Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH), thanks to RH Foundation.
The foundation donated 30 bags of toiletries and personal items as gifts for all 30 beds at the children’s ward through the hospital’s social work department.
PMGH senior medical social worker Tessie Soi thanked the foundation for its generous donation.
Soi said Easter was the time the Lord died for the sins of each and everyone so the gifts would bless many children and adults who would be on their own during Easter.
She said donations to the hospital were coming through the social work department because they were mindful of cross-infections.
Soi said they did not want any diseases or germs carried from outside into the hospital.
The beauty of donating through the social work department was the fact that they worked closely with the people.
“We deal with people who are really in need,” Soi said.
“Because they worked with the people, they knew who really needed something.
“All the donations are now coming to my department and my social workers will take them to the wards.”
Roselyn Petilau of the foundation said she hoped the assistance would ease the burden on families and children in the ward and help put a smile on their faces this Easter.
