RH Trading, delivery firm launch online shopping

RH Trading Ltd has partnered with a local goods delivery business, FMCG Xpress, to enable customers to shop online and have their goods delivered to their homes.
The online shopping delivery service was launched in Port Moresby yesterday partners RH Trading Ltd and Leading Edge Ltd, trading as FMCG Xpress.
Managing director of Leading Edge Lee Pokarop, while acknowledging the partnership, said as a four-month old local start-up business, this platform was designed to enable key fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturers to tap into a large supply chain and deliver products directly to consumers’ homes.
“Today, we are humbled and honoured to partner with RH Trading to provide choice, convenience and value to the consumer experience here in Port Moresby,” he said.
“We are thankful for the opportunity and professional trust that RH Trading has given to FMCG Xpress, a four-month old local start-up business to embark on this partnership to offer more value to Port Moresby consumers.”
Pokarop said they had established a strategic partnerships with local vegetable farmers, Airways Hotel Catering, MeatHaus and Buffalo Burger, British American Tobacco and now, RH Trading Ltd.
He added that priority would be given to fresh produce and frozen goods ensuring those goods reached consumers on time.
Meanwhile, RH Trading Ltd information technology manager Jack Leong said the only mode of purchasing for now was by using the Wantok Gift Card.
He said the online shopping was launched last month but was done without deliveries until the management decided to partner with a local small medium enterprises (SMEs) to make deliveries that was when they partnered with Leading Edge through its subsidiary FMCG Xpress.
