Right to suspend rogue cops

MARTIN Lakari’s story in The National was quite blissful (Feb 24). He sent orders to his Mt Hagen station commander to suspend two police personnel for the brutal attack on a lawbreaker before bringing him into the station. He further said that the policemen are not supposed to attack civilians as their rights must be respected. I think Lakari’s decision must have ringed a bell in Andy Bawa and Commissioner Tom Kulunga. It is time to advocate for your boys and girls about doing simple things right. Enough of disgrace from our policemen and women.
