Right to vote without influence

Letters

PAPUA New Guinea is a democratic country comprising of 10 million indigenous citizens .
It was declared on Sept 16, 1975, with some principles for the country to be independent and was declared as Universal Human Rights Declaration.
However, the politicians and their ethnic groups, tribesmen, clans and their political party groups take it for granted some of the following citizens rights:
l Every citizens of this nation have the right to choose and elect a leader of their choice;
l AS a citizen, you have a right to move around freely of your own wish; and,
l You have a right to form groups, choirs, clubs, associations etc, as you are the citizens of this nation.
Therefore, citizens are entitled to elect a leader of their own choice.
Politicians must take care not to break the nation’s laws to deprive the rights of citizens by bribing them with money.
And the question arise is, where did you get that millions of Kina?
This is the people’s money circulating so people must keep that in mind when casting votes.
As a citizen of this nation, I have 100 per cent right to choose and elect a leader on my own.
Do not deprive my rights politicians.
