Rigo league kicks off its pre-season comp

THE 3Suns Rigo rugby league competition will kick off its calendar with the pre-season competition set for Saturday.
The interim president of the 3Suns Rigo rugby league competition, Gwaibo Mairi, said yesterday that eight teams had already registered for the competition.
Prize money includes K1,500 for the first place, K1,000 for second and third and fourth will receive K500 and K250 respectively.
Clubs that miss out in registering for the pre-season are advised to wait for the season proper to affiliate.
Mairi also apologised to the league’s board for any inconveniences caused by the cancellation of the scheduled AGM meeting on Jan 21.
He said that the AGM was now set for March 23 at the Salvation Army Conference Centre in Kwikila.
He added that notices were also  given for the previous cancellation along with the financial reports, the president’s report, clubs’ reports, and its constitution and bylaws, the Rigo Roosters proposed team for the bemobile Cup and the elections.
He also urged clubs taking part in the competition to send a representative to Kwikila before 10am for the meeting.
