Rigo picks large zone trial squad

 THE Rigo Rugby League have selected final 50-man squad for the upcoming Southern Region Zone trials at Kwikila, Rigo, Central, from July 29 to Aug 2.

Association president Freddy Nanai Silona said the squad is divided into two 25-man sides chosen after the trials last weekend.

Team one: Jack Mondo, Jack Nanuka, Jubilee Otto, Asi Enane, Brian Buro, Steven Gia, Jobbie Mairi, Kini Mana, Arthur Mana, Guma Tau junior, Ronald Mahuta, Naime Tola, Samuel Kult, Alaua Mai, Harrison Enaha, Kingsley Vali, Otti Kila, Helalo Gim, Kendie Kila, Chiko Mairi, Willie Vano, Sisco Lagani, Chan Kaki, Kwalimu Gerega, Huvau Raka,  Leva Maraki (coach), Gouna Kila (assistant), Lalai Vali (trainer) and Stan Nekite (manager).

Team two: Kinsley Vanagi, Lesley Vali, Medana Buro, John Kila, Robert Bereni, Dagaea Sale, Jeffrey Malepa, Garry Robert, Harrison Mala, Newton Mala, Taulea Gani, Steven Abida, Michael Posta, Murika Kila, Geva Duba, Minso Verena, Babona Babona, Iobbuna Kora, Samsmon Mahuta, Leva Gumu, Joe Saina, Mero Komana, Niusi Kila, Joe Gini, Ebena Gabi, Guma Tau (coach), Opex Evo (assistant), Bala Kapa (trainer), Arodie Verena (manager).

Silona said his executives were confident the players represented the cream of Rigo talent and urged all players to grab the opportunity to play representative football. 

He added that the Southern zone trials being staged in Rigo would be a boost to the code in the district after years in the doldrums. 

He warned the players to turn up for training and put in a whole-hearted effort in order to succeed in the sport.
