Risking lives for betel nut

Letters

FUNNY and surprising. While the whole world is in great fear of their lives and trying their very best to practise healthy methods to survive this deadly virus, somewhere in the Pacific, people tend to show no fear of Covid-19.
People fear and worry more about chewing a special nut rather than the great risks of losing their lives.
Sellers of that nut still risk their lives and try their best to become vigilantes, masterminding from the blue eyes, in order to sell those nuts.
Buyers of these nuts risk their lives and pay for the sky high price of those nuts in such a tough lockdown period.
The Government, who is trying to recover from an economic crisis, is currently wasting funds on the police to disperse mentally ill crowds gathering and those problematic attitude nut sellers and buyers – purposely to save their lives from the deadly virus.
Yet, those people with that disobedient attitude problem claim that they are God’s children living in a Christian country and will be saved somehow by God from Covid-19.
The Lord does not work that way.
You play your part by listening to simple instructions by the Government and then He will come in when you run out of options.
You cannot expect miracles by being lazy and disobedient.
Interestingly, the Opposition leader of that nation is seemingly not collaborating with the PM to help prevent the pandemic.
In such state of emergency, he is maintaining a lawsuit against the PM, surprisingly, not for the coronavirus issues but for common political interests. What an amazing nation full of unexpected expectations.
