Such is the road conditions in Menyamya-Aseki electorate of Morobe province. This vehicle, owned by a Western Highlander, who is a coffee buyer in Menyamya, was bogged at Koiwa village, near the junction of Aseki Road. Coffee is surplus in the Menyamya, Aseki and Watut areas but due to road conditions, it’s hard to transport coffee into Lae. However, this will be the thing of the past as the road is under
rehabilitation by the local MP Benjamin Philip through its JDP&BPC funds. Some of the worst affected areas have already been identified and cleared and replaced with gravel. All roads are alright except Koiwa village.
