Road works ease access

 BLOCK holders at Avi, in the Anglimp-South Waghi electorate of Jiwaka, have a good road to access markets with their farm produce.
Local MP Joe Koim bought them a new excavator to fix the drains and clear the roadsides.
The people have been suffering for more than 40 years because they did not have a road to transport their farm produce to the market.
Spokesman David Abel said Koim came to their aid.
“We now have a proper road and a good drainage system to dry up the swamp so that the land can be used for farming,” Abel said.
