Roads need upgrade

Letters

THE national highway and even the subsidiary road networks like Wau, Waria, Watut and Aseki-Menyamya, Buang, Middle Watut (Kapin) need upgrading.
Almost a quarter of a century, the national highway and subsidiary road networks had been running down and is somewhat to its extreme which requires immediate action from government.
Residents in remote areas hardly spend their surplus funds due to road conditions in terms of SME engagement or any other relevant business activities.
Hence, there are less injections (spending) contributing to the economic deflation or regression.
Therefore, the national government need to prioritise its development projects and allocate excessive funds from DSIP funds to road upgrading prior to other projects.
Because road service is an impetus for economic growth in the country.
This message is not meant to discredit but to highlight problems.
