A SECOND referendum awareness roadshow in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville has covered 10 out of 13 districts, reaching approximately 15,000 people last month.
The roadshow was part of an ongoing joint initiative between the National Government and the Autonomous Bougainville Government.
The second roadshow was supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Papua New Guinea, through the Peace-building Fund.
The emphasis of the roadshow was on the meaning of the two referendum options and to update the public on the post-referendum taskforce established by the two governments to ensure peaceful and smooth transition after the vote was held.
The roadshow visited five locations in Bougainville.
