Rogue police officers tarnish RPNGC image

I REFER to your report “Wagambie vows to remove rogue cops” (March 15).
I commend the acting police commissioner for taking this bold step.
There are too many rogue policemen and women and they have tarnished the good name of the RPNGC.
Can the acting commissioner explain the reinstatement of three commissioned officers who were terminated several years ago?
This action is contrary to what he is preaching.
Since his appointment, it seems he has allowed a couple of junior commissioned officers to take control and make important decisions on the management of the RPNGC administrative and operational matters.
These actions have not gone down well with many career policemen and women.
Many of them are now questioning the loyalty and respect they have over the years for Anthony Wagambie.
His reputation is now quickly going downhill all because of the actions of a few inexperienced junior officers.
Please stop this nonsense, sir.
