Route 4 buses need monitoring

Letters

CAN the Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC) confirm the bus fare from Gordon to Town, in Port Moresby?
If it is K1, then why are the bus operators charging K2?
Route 4 buses are supposed to service the Gordon- Boroko- Town route but instead they drop passengers off at Boroko after charging them K1. They then charge another K1 from Boroko to Town.
Again, from Town to Boroko passengers pay K1 and another K1 from Boroko to Gordon on the same bus. This is absolutely absurd.
Can the responsible authority look into this?
This is totally reaping off passengers.
The bus crew and driver should be arrested and charged.
Can this be monitored during the Easter holiday break?
The way to do it is to intercept and stop all route 4 buses and ask the passengers how much they paid and their destination. The truth will be revealed.
Most times, route 4 buses do not complete their course. Instead they pick passengers from Gordon and drop them off at Boroko and passengers then look for another bus to get to town. The same is repeated from Town to Boroko and onto Gordon.
Buses are reaping off poor passengers, including school children, because the authorities are not doing their job.
