Rovi is new general secretary of PNG churches’ council

ALBERT Rovi has been appointed as the general secretary of the Papua New Guinea Council of Churches.
His three-year term took effect on Dec 16 last year.
Rovi, who hails from New Ireland, attended Utu High School before going to the Port Moresby’s Administrative College, where he obtained a diploma in public administration.
He served as a Bible servant for a number of years before and after independence. He also attended the Bible College of Victoria.
Since graduating from the Bible College in 1991, Rovi has worked mainly with church organisations.
