EVERY season, rugby league produces a hero and writes a new chapter.

League is a topic of discussion by many, especially those from the highlands region.

If you are a follower, do not underestimate other regions as you do not know the skills they have.

Maybe you do not know the history of the game in PNG.

Champions such as Arebo Taumaku, Dairi Kovae, Greenie Mea, Taragau, Heni Kila, Lauta Atoi, Philip Boge, Tuksy Karu, Gari and Mea Morea played their way into the history book.

The current Kumuls fullback, Josiah Abavu is the pride of Central province.

I am more than sure, that the former champs named above are proud of his contributions to the sport of rugby league.

Joshiah Abavu, please carry on the legacy.

Lastly, I ask the selectors to name Abavu at fullback for the Kumuls and shift David Mead to centre to partner Menzie “Jukebox” Yere.
