FORMER rugby league personality, the late Peter Barnanga, died of a heart-attack, police said yesterday.
Lae Metro Commander Iven Lakatani said the cause of his death was revealed on Tuesday following a post-mortem examination.
Barnanga, from Bundi, Madang and a former rugby league player, died in his vehicle outside the Waratahs’ Club premises in Lae, two weeks ago.
Police had initially treated his death as suspicious.
A senior public servant in Morobe died in a similar fashion earlier this year, raising suspicions that their deaths may be linked.
“He died of heart attack,” Lakatani said.
